Log- " which stream beta?"
me- "ji science"
Log-" medical or non medical?"
me-"medical"
log-" oh so we will have a doctor soon"

well i wrote LOG just because you must be familiar with this conversation if you too face this typical Indian society on a daily basis.

So after the conclusion that people draw as soon as i say the word MEDICAL leaves me questioning my existence and forces me to answer YES I WANT TO BE A DOCTOR knowing that is isn't coming straight from my heart and i am pretty sure that many others also face this problem.

Before i start with my views just 2 minutes silence for those who actually think that this world has only three types of people- the doctors, the engineers and the lawyers ( no offense)( people who are willingly into this profession can ignore these lines)

So coming on the point i just want my question to be answered
why can't we just switch to something totally different even after studying science for almost 12 years ? ( okay this gave me a little heart attack).
well the answer i found after thinking a lot was - log kya kahenge!

people are like - what is the use of studying science when you don't want to be a doctor, engineer or whatever.

Every person has an equal and essential role whether he is a teacher, a designer, an actor, a singer or a doctor.
we just don't need building and medicines right? we need entertainment too.

But now i can see people coming up and choosing different professions which really is appreciable .
But still i have seen people saying- acha marks kum honge isliye science nahi li hogi. and this is something very lame. I have seen toppers ignoring science stream and passing with flying colours.

Every parent has got some desires, some dreams for their child but sometimes their dreams overpower the talent of their child.
Donations are so common these days which let a person into a profession which he/she may not be made for. You can't just pay and give country the sort of doctors who leave scissors inside after a surgery, right?
Donation wala system is something i don't understand.
well moreover this struggle of clearing the entrance exams and getting into a good college is not so easy.
A student is declared 'pass' when he scores 33% but colleges don't let in students having a percentile less than 70% at least.
so you see the whole system is very AJEEB.

So many reservations, so many paid seats and so much of unemployment.
Reason- everyone wants to be a doctor and engineer.

Well said " Doubts kill more dreams than failure ever will"
and in indian society "Log kya kahenge kill more dreams than failure ever will"
