It was 12 at night and Natasha was traveling form New York to Dubai. Sleep was eluding her and she had browsed through every possible book that was available on the plane. Suddenly, she overheard the two attendants’ conversation. They were discussing about a man who according to them was every girls dream. They were talking about his dreamy eyes, shining brown hair and his cute face.

Her reaction to that was why on earth all the girls are same. They either gossip or bitch. Natasha was a girl in her mid 20’s but she neither gossip nor bitch. Because of that her closest friends are all boys. She, first thought they were talking about their boyfriends. But then she realized it was a man who was traveling on that very plane. Her suspicion became sure when she saw attendants going to seat no. 1c of her section one after other within a few minutes span. Every time, when they were returning there was an eerie smile on there face which was indicating that they were smitten. She had been with men, gorgeous men. She practically lived with them as she was a journalist in New York. But it was not that often when she saw different women getting swept off by a man.
There was a part of her which was loathing this man but there was this other part which wanted to see this man. So, she grabbed her courage and walked up to his isle. He said in an instant,” I was hoping when that enchantress will come and here you are.”
She was taken aback by his straight forwardness and was blushing like a 15 year old. He offered her to sit. She without thinking anything obliged. She then realized how beautiful he was. He was looking at her but all she could wonder how dashing he was. He was like the Adonis. The whole moment felt like a poetry in motion. It was an ardour that was unexplainable.
He said to her,” hey, r u okay?? “
She said “yes”
He again said,”Why are you staring at me?”
She blushed again and said to him, “ You know, you look very familiar.” He said nothing but laughed.

Now her senses had returned to her. She could see the attendants looking at her with a look of surprise and a pinch of hatred. Obviously, they were better looking than her but their dream boy was talking to her. He introduced himself saying “My name Nakul Dixit”.
Natasha said “Natasha Lafour”. He was little surprised. So she told him her story that she was born and brought up in France. Her mom was from India and father from France. He listened engrossingly and was very patient. Then he told her about himself. He was a photographer located in London. He grew up in India. They talked for the next three hours about sports, photography, Life in London and LA. They found out that they both loved pasta, long drives and had a thing for gadgets of Apple. The time just flew away when they were talking. She for one felt certain attraction towards him. He was not like other men. He was intelligent, chivalrous and had a heart. It was 5 am in the morning when the comm buzzed announcing that they were going to land in half an hour.
At the terminal, while biding goodbye she gave him her number and asked him if he could meet her. But he explained that he was going to Abu dhabi to shoot for some magazine that afternoon only but he would definitely call. Saying goodbye he said,”Don’t worry I’ll find you”. Natasha laughed and hopped into the taxi. She had to cover a show next day. So she went to the hotel and slept like a baby. Next day, she covered the show but throughout the entire day all she could think of was about him and that call of his. She reached hotel after a tumultuous day and turned the TV on. She was browsing through the channels when she came across a news channel that gave her one of the most blindsided news.

It flashed Nakul’s photo and said “28 year old, con man and drug smuggler Nakul Dixit died in a car accident in Kuwait city tonight around 7. He was carrying 10000 USD.” Natasha could not believe her eyes and was numb for a moment. Her heart was literally thumping. The man who looked so perfect was a criminal. She was so smitten by him and for an instance she thought she was in love with him. The revelation was a consternation. A cocktail of feelings was running within her. She was bereft, repugnant and was not at all feeling refulgent. A part of her was still not convinced that the man was a felon and was dead.

It was 10 years ago when Nakul Dixit died. Ten years on but still she is not over him. In these 10 years, she has dated almost 10 to 15 men but still she is not settled. She has not met that man who has created that stir inside her that was once generated by Nakul. She is still searching him. She is still waiting for him.

With that, Natasha finished her blog. She was at the New York airport waiting for her flight to India. She was going there to launch her new book. She was now a world renowned writer with 3 best sellers. Natasha had everything but still there was a void. She was in the middle of the airport amongst thousands of men and women yet she was alone. She noticed a bearded man looking at her with an unanswerable longing. She could not recognize him as he was wearing a jacket along with a hat and was almost 40 feet away from her. It was then that the announcer announced about her flight. Natasha took her bag and started to walk towards her terminal. But because of an impulse, she went to the bearded man and said “Do I know you?”
He said,” I was hoping when that enchantress will come and here you are.”
