Question: How is Author Reputation calculated?

Answer: Reputation Points is the indicator of activeness and how much someone is respected in WriterBabu community.

Contributions :
200 for each book published
10 for each post user posts
5 points for each post you comment on
3 for each poll user takes
1 when a person visits user's post (no longer contributing)
1 for each "hummm" rating on user's post
2 for each "nice" rating on user's post
3 for each "hats off" rating on user's post
4 for each "speechless" rating on user's post

And ...

Every author that joins WriterBabu through your invitation contribute one fifth of their own score towards your reputation points since they cross 30 points up till 500 reputation points. After 500 points they continue to contribute 100 points each.
( Applicable to invitations sent now onwards ( 10th Nov 2012 )... we know its unfair for those who invited a lot of their friends earlier but still this is how it is ... those selfless souls can have our love for free ... :D )

Question: How is post score for ranking is calculated?

Answer: Post score is simply the sum of ratings of that post:

1 for each "hummm" rating
2 for each "nice" rating
3 for each "hats off" rating
4 for each "speechless" rating

Question: What does "unique visits of a post" mean?

Answer: It is the number of unique sessions in which the post had been visited. Any number of visit to the post in the same session count as one. One session ends when someone closes their browser or sign out if they were logged in. Tab close doesn't ends a user session.
