Indeed, Kingship should know no kinship. Or for that matter everybody should regard justice higher than kinship. Why? Because kin too are humans and are prone to their lusts/greed. So, what if kin are immoral or unjust or dishonest? What if your son rapes a girl? Would you still support him just because he’s your son? What if your father steals tax? Would you still support him just because he’s your up-bringer? No, if you have a passion for justice.

People who fix their gaze on what is just, instead of being carried away blindly by the love of their relatives, are in real sense the upholders of justice. It is these people who should be put in government, because it is they whom power won’t corrupt and they won’t take the undue advantage of their authority.

Considering this, the belief that parents are like god is not only an exaggeration but an hindrance in the path of justice. Contrary to the propaganda, Aurangzeb did a very just thing by arresting his father Shahjahan. He made it clear that the public money wasn’t meant for romance. Aurangzeb being an emperor earned his bread by selling caps. He didn’t use any money from states treasury for personal use.

It is just because members within a family do not rise up from family love that justice is killed. It is for this reason that corrupt political dynasty still rule our country.

The burning need of the hour is justice as required by Quran (in the following verses), the word of Allah. Allah, the creator of the worlds.

[4:135]O you who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah; even though it be against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, be he rich or poor, Allah is a better protector to both (than you). So follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest you avoid justice; and if you distort your witness or refuse to give it, verily Allah is ever well-acquainted with what you do.

[17:23] And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him. And that you be dutiful to your parents. If one of them or both of them attain old age in your life, say not to them a word of disrespect, nor shout at them but address them in terms of honor.

[29:8] And we have enjoined on man to be good and dutiful to his parents; but if they strive to make you join with Me (in worship) anything (as a partner) of which you have no knowledge, then obey them not. Unto Me is your return and I shall tell you what you used to do.

It is only the believers in Quran that can bring about the climax of justice in our society.” Believers in Quran”, in Arabic are known as “muslims”.
