We sat together in the kitchen
Clutching the cup of coffee's addiction
But the ceiling was about to collapse
With the roof of endless flats.

Outside the window, the city awoke
As the guzzling dawn air arose
But the thoughts slept among the ruins
I sat behind the window not knowing what the hell i was doin'?!

Smoke billowed in the doorway
There was a smell of burning, all the four-ways
She swirled the ashes and hysterically wheezed
In a clumsy, uneven pace that pleased.

The heat of fire crept closer
We were laughing and drinking coffee
The walls glowed red all over
As the sunset on Mount Calvary covered the city of rovers.

Serene whispering wind blew
Dispersing the fire on the house that whew
And the hinges creaked from the chain
As the burning room suffered in pain.

On the floor there were dancing sparks
Withering like a mad tango
As she rocked from dock without any questions marks
Drowning in water of Ganges on the rhythm of piano.

The ceiling was about to collapse
I knew the coffee had reacted, perhaps.
We sat together in the kitchen
For another coffee and for another fiction.
