That place were for the rich young girls and boys who would never find a perfect place to chill out in the whole college compound. As the afternoon would approach, they would call each other and sit near the gate, smoking cigars and drinking fine wines.
She would watch from a distance, their absolute craziness and obsession with those costly matters which were perhaps a big cost to their health too.
Tiny hands covered in velvet, the tiny body in leather jackets, tiny necks by colourful scarves, and those big glad eyes waiting for some handsome prince to spend time with them.
She would pick a book and pretend to study, while sitting alone from a distance, shivering from the cold winter chilling winds blowing... How amazing was their life!
They had their own rooms decorated with fairies sitting around their beds, a beautiful study table, walls painted and decorated with lights.. their houses, it was difficult to imagine where they lived. Whether they were castle, or some hotel room? They had their own cars, and costly gadgets to give them the happiness they desired, when their parents couldn't give them time. They had servants running after them to care.
She had a contrasting life, her parents didn't own a house, nor a cycle. She lived in the rented apartment, half of the furnitures owned by the owner, and more cheaper lying about the house. Her parents would drop her to college by the autorickshaw, and she still tried to put on a smile and be proud.
She of course, felt weird with the type of contrast between the two categories, one where she stood alone, and the other, where all of them were still sitting cozily in each other's arms, laughing and having a merry time.

She was sent out of the class, but she didn't mind it. She enjoyed watching the rich people enjoy, while herself being unseen. It helped to hide from embarrassment. She concentrated back on her book.
She remembered how much her parents had to go through to get her to this college. The jewellery was mortgaged, and with that, her happiness. Whatever little they had, was given just to make her able to live a better life. Among the rich, to act like rich, and to make herself crave for it. To realise where she stood, and whatever should be her position.. What she could do.
She smiled. Her cellphone rang. It was the office.

"We are sorry, Miss. We just received the fee. You may go back to the class."
"Who paid?" She asked, taken aback.
Her father had told her he had no money left after the last college assignment. It cost a lot, and by the end of the month, he had to worry even about taking ten rupees out of his pocket.
"Your father. A total amount of 61,000 rupees has been received. Thank you."
She smiled.

"Thank my father." She said, suddenly feeling proud of her cheap clothes and the lack of gloves in her chilling hand. She went back to her class, picturing her family in the area, wearing costly clothes and having warm feast in the growing cold.
One day, she had to make it true.
she would, and she knew it.
