"No No No.." that young girl said, as she finished reading the last chapter of the novel she admired.

"What no?"

"The starting was so good.. so interesting, somewhere, the ending wasn't of much interest. It ends so abruptly. As if the novelist didn't feel like giving it a nice ending!"

Shraddha stood up, irritated, slamming the novel on the desk which she took from her hand a moment ago.
"Stop passing comment without understanding the emotions of the author. Life doesn't always end on a happy note! And so, the author is adding reality to the story."

"But it was boring!!" she still wasn't convinced.

To Anji, life wasn't a matter to mourn upon, rather full of surprizes, just like a pack of gifts she receives everyday. Of course, life had its own ups and downs, but why highlight it in stories when you already have a disgusting one in actual?
Why not celebrate it in stories? Why not escape into a different world at least while reading something light?

She looked at the book, a love story, it read. Then why not add a "SAD" in between and not misguide people? She wanted a light reading. She wished to escape into the world of romance till the end, and not face the actuality and brutality of life. Not hear about loss of lover or death of lover or that lovers got changed over time.

"NO!!" she said angrily.

"C'mon Anji. You're mature enough. You finished reading a book, you didn't like it. It's your problem. Why blame the poor writer and snatch his bread 'cz of your temper?"

"'Cz he spoilt my mood!" Anji replied.
Quite angered.

She was getting a bit wild since the past few months. And Shraddha was alarmed!

"Oh no! Her temper again!" She murmered, as she got her face reddened by the young girl.
"S...L....A...P!!"

She was becoming terrible!!
"DISGUSTINGG!" Shraddha shouted as she left the room to let Anji settle in it and calm herself down.

"I would write to the author." she said, as she turned on the laptop quickly. "Improvement can always be brought to literature..! And such a famous novelist, he can improve of course! So that no one else gets dissatisfied with his work, else his novels won't sell. Not my problem!"

She turned the novel in her hand to copy the email address of the writer, as she mailed him

"Respected sir,
I just read your novel, your love story.
But no offenses meant, I feel the story
somewhat ended abruptly. You, being such
a talented writer, could have given a
more interesting ending to it.

Feels like you lost the track. Which harmed
your story. It got boring at the ending.
Hope amendments are made at your next works.
I shall be waiting for more interesting works
by you in the future.

Thanking you.
Faithfully,
Anji"

She waited. And she received a reply almost instantly.

"Reader Anji,
I'm glad you read my novel.
And thanks for your reviews. I shall try improving my works for people who want lighter readings as you.
But believe me, truth is sometimes harsh. And boring."

She read it.
And turned towards the book.
Under the title, was written, "a true-life incident."

Anger vanished, as she realised the author's meaning. How deeply in pain was he, and in how much pain had he written this. To let go of love, to realise that the person you love can no longer be with you.
That was life.

That was her life too, from where she wanted to escape, but somehow, people unknowingly or knowingly brought her back to her situation.
The truth was that, 'Life doesn't always have a happy and interesting ending'. And you can't escape that. And now she realised that.

She slowly turned off the computer, tears replacing her reddened-with-anger eyes as she finally realised her situation, He had left her for getting married to someone else.

"Yes," she cried. "Life is not always jolly. And that's how poets and writers let out their own life spread across the world thorugh their own words. Their life, My life!" She said..
