Ever felt the heart crumble,
Hands crushing into two.
The joy so short lived now,
Praying for it to end soon.
Ever felt the tear dry on cheeks,
For no one heard your clamour.
The visage long gone into darkness,
Cruelty inflicted in silent night.
Ever felt the need for a companion,
In the midst of a sombre company.
The day of festival stifled by time,
Reminiscent of kingdom without king.
The separate entities of humanity,
Strikingly similar in acts and words.
Longing to be different in appearance,
Yet as same as they were in person.
