She threw caution to the embers,
She bowed before no one's pride.
In her mind and her heart of red,
She was the blissful green divide.
The old told her to walk slow,
The young forced her to walk fast.
Shimmering with brute ebony splendor,
She paid no heed to their feelings.
Her hands reached the calm blue sky,
Her carefree locks transcended them.
In her soul resided a new woman,
One bereft of the amusing world.
I told about her to many people,
They only gave smirks instead of smiles.
Now she is up above them in hierarchy,
The smirks have turned into applause.
I respected her then,I admire her now,
People said 'no' then, now they say 'wow'!
Every person is a blessing I say,
More so a woman of pleasant stay.
