Right from cradle to the grave,
A lady was there by my side.
She was an embodiment of God,
A diva of the highest accord.
My lips parted to utter her name,
My steps staggered in her game.
She wiped my tears with her cloth,
She laughed at my silliest joke.
When I slept over the years,
Her eyes watched over me securely.
I did not yearn for a friend,
She was there for me always.
Carrying a trophy or a brickbat,
I simply went and sat in her lap.
When she caressed my hair I was happy,
The touch of love came through then.
An unbroken bond we have shared on the go,
I am mama's boy and I proudly say so!!
