Era new, view modern.
Living in a age of Freedom and Liberty.
Remain confined in our petty cells, now an oblivion past.
But, yet, a force is holding us,
yet, some cuffs are binding me.

A bond compelling me to run,
leaving my cherished memoires behind,
when neighbours of my nation,
propose to earn their pride,
by shooting down innocent lives.

I want to be free again,
become the owner of my life again.
And let no political riot make me a bait again.
I want to be Independent Again.

Shadowed by the startling city-lights,
lies the bond of Trafficking.
Victims loosing identities of self,
and parents crying for a Silent Help.
For no words seem to reach The No'le Ears.

They want to feel again.
They want to blossom again.
Not in the news nor in years debated programmes,
but among the young and ambitious youths.
They want to be Independent Again.

The bond scariest of all.
Compelling girls to stay in their hideouts.
For if she walks out, she becomes a material of amusement,
for some so called New Generation Modern Folks.

She wants to Stand again.
She wants to live again.
Not in the frames at the Temples,
But in the heart of her countrymen.
She wants to be Independent Again.

We fought yesterday. We won yesterday.
To proudly hoist the Tricolour.
And cheer aloud 'Satmev Jayete'.

We again need to fight today. We again need to win today.
This time to rise above the state of vulgarism and vanity,
to that of respected and required nobility.

We ask for no Gandhi nor any exclusive preachings.
What we require are moral Human Beings.
The day we break all the chains,
And work gladly for others' sake,
That day my people will be our real 'INDEPENDENCE DAY'.
