fightForFreedom

Epilogue

“Freedom sometimes comes with a price. It’s not always the price we want to pay but in the end freedom is so sweet. Over the centuries many have died for the cause of liberty and for the pursuit of a fee life.”

“When we live in a free society it’s hard for us to understand the full extent of not being free. In America freedom has reigned for over 200 years and counting but how close are we to losing it and returning to slavery?”

“Today is the day to make a choice. Your own personal choice not subjected to another man’s terror. We will defeat those who would enslave us again. We will defeat those who choose to break the laws that established our liberties in the first place. We press onward and upward to preserve the free life that most of us have grown accustomed to or we will die trying.”

“Republicans or Democrats it doesn’t matter. We all are Americans and we make up America and the American way. And that way is freedom and liberty for all. We will fight for the rights up each other whether we disagree or agree. Freedom is our concern.”

“No one person or groups of persons can strip us our way of life without an American or several Americans rising up to defend us and our freedom. Today we stand here making you a promise. We will have liberty or give us death, but we will not give in to tyranny.”

Jeremiah Issachar was quickly escorted into a vehicle behind the cabin and it sped off. All over the country freedom fighters battled those who would take America from Americans. Few understood why, but very little official word came out of Washington DC concerning the chaos since Issachar was removed from the Presidency.

Juan Garcia and Mitch Miller led a group of former Secret Service agents and former Navy Seals who were self appointed to protect President Issachar and his family during this distress.

Day after day hundreds and thousands of Americans were killed or injured as Islamic Terrorist, who had infiltrated from Mexico, attempted to take over every large city in the country. Patriots defended their positions in the cities and country but mostly in vain.

President Issachar set up his temporary headquarters in the wilderness of West Virginia. He and his family were surrounded by experienced security experts. His life was constantly in danger from those who attempted to take over the country.

The President appointed Retired General Tom Points to direct his militia to defend at least a few of the larger cities. About a third of the military supported the President along with several of the top Generals. It seemed like an insurmountable task for the freedom fighters but they persisted.

Many of the opposition supported by Horace Jenkins were entrenched into society secretly for the past few years. They were all in place across the country ready at a moment’s notice to begin this uprising. Their ultimate goal was to change America into an Islamic Empire.
President Issachar called his council together to discuss productive action they could develop to at least restrain the insurgents.

Mitch Miller began, “With all due respect, Mr. President, we have to get to Jenkins and Hock. We have to drive them out of the country or….”

Jeremiah added, “The terrorist take their lead from Jenkins, I’m sure.”

Juan inserted, “May I add that we still have to deal with the cities...or should we give them to the Islamist?”

Issachar stood up and walked around the table. He was in thought as he sat back down and then he inserted, “We have to deal with one problem at a time. What is the priority? I believe it is Washington. Then we can work our way west. What do you think, General Points?”

The General had listened intently to what everyone had to say. It took him several seconds to formulate his answer then he began, “It’s been a long time since I was in a real battle. I’ve been retired for several years, but I do know one thing. We need to stay on the offensive and not just defend a position. I say we take back my old home, DC, and do it soon as possible.”

Issachar had a broad smile on his face and he looked at Juan and said, “We picked a good one with this guy, Juan. That settles it….General, you and Mitch formulate a plan. We have several Seals on our team. They will come in handy in this operation. Let’s take back Washington.”

The freedom fighters were fortunate enough to have a contingent of Air Force officers and pilots than had joined their ranks. They were also able to retrieve thousands of pounds of bombs and ammo for the planes. Though they were outnumbered most of the pilots had great skills.

General Points’ plan was to hit the city with sporadic attacks, short in length and heavy in fire power. They would use guerrilla tactics on the ground and hit and run with heavy equipment they had captured.
Within a week the freedom fighters had surrounded Washington DC, and those in the city didn’t even know it. At night the former seals would penetrate the ghettos on the outskirts of town. Eventually, Mitch and his team were within shouting distance of the White House, where Horace had his headquarters. They wanted to eliminate him first, one way or another.

Ten thousand Issachar supporters moved slowly into DC. Every day and four or five times a day Jets would fire on the terrorist wherever they were spotted. Slowly but surely all the city was taken except for the Capital complex and White House. Jenkins could not get out of the city.

Horace Jenkins surrendered without a shot fired into the White house. This was the first big step for the team fighting for freedom. Issachar was shuttled back to his former residence but his family was still in a secret location under protection until the worst of the terror was eliminated.

General Points and the President directed operations in the larger cities in the east including New York and Baltimore. By the end of the year, the whole east coast could again claim to be free from Islamic Terrorist that had controlled them for months.

Issachar’s team was in the planning stages of freeing western cities when the President called for a council meeting in the Oval Office.
Jeremiah Issachar stood in front of his desk in the Oval Office and spoke, “As you all know before all this chaos and terror in our cities, this November would be Election Day; The first Tuesday in November. I have decided after consulting with my family and my best friend, Juan, that I am resigning as President…In other words I’m not running for another term. I know this is not a good time not to have a leader, but I believe you have one that would be better than I was. Mitch Miller is a hidden leader in our midst. He and Juan orchestrated our comeback and are credited for us standing here today.”

“I’ve decided to find a yellow house with two bathrooms and live the rest of my life as just another freedom fighting citizen of the United States of America.”

Tears began to appear on the President’s face as he continued, “We may not win this battle with the terrorists but we have given it a great try. I’ll help defend my corner of the world in West Virginia in my little yellow house with two bathrooms. May God bless you all and may God bless America.”
