According to an international news magazine, some Cable Networks are cramming more commercial ads into favourite TV shows and movies like Seinfeld, The Wizard of Oz, Friends in order to offset 'Shrinking' ad revenue. (No figures are given to show how the revenue is shrinking.) They do this using compression technology which shortens programmes by stretching the unit load a little more. This is not only incorrect because viewers will then see a film or a show that was not made that way, but is cheating using technology which of course is happening all around 24x7.
