Just for how long??

by your verses, all i can see is , sorry if i am wrong, your father is a triumphant but he got ego.

Someday, when you are both having a conversation tell him in no uncertain terms "you have a huge ego, the biggest I have ever come across. Do not use sarcasm because he is your father and also because it'll be rude, its your choice though :)

He might argue back but that doesn`t matter, because the message will have penetrated and in his quieter moments he will think about it. A stranger might not be able to correct him but a close one such as a son or daughter,their words will hurt him.

It always amazes me how many people go all through life with the wrong attitude - and never even realize it. The trouble is not that he is mostly wrong - it`s that he does not realize he is wrong. That is why someone should put him right, and tell him.

im in total agreement with your comment kaustubh, and its not that we havent tried.. me, my mom..tried all these years. he is of a kind who will break but not bend. thats what makes it harder. at a certain point, our hopes fade away. i know only close ones can make a change thats why we dont give up trying.. but we are after all humans.
at some point..we see there is no way out.
exactly as you said, he doesnt realise that he is wrong. and its very very hard to make him.

you know.. as a child, i shouldnt say this..but he creates a bad experience.. which teaches me the things i shouldnt do in my marital life and to my children.

What you have said is enough, one day he'll cross his limits and when he does it, this is what you will say in front of him, even if you dont want to, the feeling may come out.
Ego fails every time. He'll bend.
Wait for the superior one :)
