Stop being cruel to the female race!
While our religion puts women in the sacred position of Durga and are in great preparation for Durga nawmi, I don't understand the whole concept of CRUELTY to a female because she is a child bearer - which sustains a race and stops its disappearance! The irony - it is mostly women who discriminate female like herself...Why?
While human beings take pride in being a developed species and far higher than animals they have yet to learn to respect their own learning from the basic instincts of animals.
Not so long ago, I noticed a stray dog around my house. Given that i'm working during the day, I don't keep a dog. It is a SHE, abandoned for being a female by the superior HUMAN race (as some do with a girl child)!
Yesterday, I heard a dog whining in the early morning. I searched for it with my kids and we found a cute fat black puppy coming out from the bush in our garden. Guess what? The stray female had given birth sometimes back. People chose to take all her male puppies and chased the mother with her only female one. The poor mum, all distressed carried it to my garden. Guess why? I've been wondering too. Not because my family is vegetarian and they run no danger of being eaten by us...HUMAN....But, it searched for the father of her puppies!!...the male dog of my mum in law living near my house and who often allows the mother-dog some foods. We did not know she had some puppies tucked far in the woods.
How did I know? Well, mother -Nature is surprising, she knows how to expose a male! The puppy is a small copy of our male dog, which came to welcome the mother and its puppy. They sat in a corner of my garden, a happy family. And, I had no choice but to keep mother and puppy though very difficult for me as I'm not at home often but i thought if the Mother dog is so wise as to find out the father's home to shelter the female puppy which she possessively protects(she did not stay with the puppy but watched my reaction from a distance and as I gave some warm milk to the puppy and my kids were happily cuddling it, she wagged its tail relieved.) Being a mother myself, I pacified the Mother dog back with the help of my kids and now she is settled with her puppy in my garden where the father is often with them.
So, does the fact that female have offspring is a sin? I think likewise, a woman alone with child in our so called developed world is often still regarded as a burden especially where men despite being in love with them are often afraid of forging a dignified relation with them. Why?
