The light is within me,
No storm can douse it.
Serene and of firm resolve,
It dances in full harmony.
It flickers when I cry,
Yet it stands rooted to ground.
Trample it and take its life,
Yet it shall rise from the ashes.
It is my honor to be its host,
To know that it is my comrade.
The light shall continue to glow,
Be it from my own death bed.
In darkness it has shown me path,
How can I forget its support.
The light is within me,
It emanates and makes me content.
