I sing a song, an old hum;
You’ve heard it end to end.
I dance & shout. I scream & pout;
While holding the Midnight Rum!

I sing so long, with bold glum;
Though smokes will I befriend.
Green like a chive. I buzz with the hive;
While holding the Midnight Rum!

I sing all wrong, a noisy drum;
Piled up promises I lend.
I mean not to hide. I am loud & wide;
While holding the Midnight Rum!

I sing oblong, on ugly strum;
Coz Heavens shall I distend.
My smile’s unseen. As it’s always been;
While holding the Midnight Rum!

I sing prolong, till my lungs are numb;
Yet tranquil as I contend.
I bid farewell. Casting a hollow spell;
While holding the Midnight Rum!
