i am doing overtime ..i can't come for grandma's birthday.i am at a meeting .... we can't have lunch together.i am at work ...i can't help u with the drawing, son.its just a friend's birthday..... i will wish him on fb .... not a big deal at all.i have to work ... i can't come for the get together.i m busy .... i can't come to see our child.
how sad and depressing it is to here such phrases when u want them to be with u ...and share those precious moments.it is sad to realize that the people nowadays are running behind money and chasing it like anything !
try to imagine yourself sitting on a bench in a park..ur BMW parked behind u ...having a rolex on ur wrist...wearing an armani{in short u r a millionaire } .... watching a bunch of young guys..celebrating birthday their friend's birthday...
giving your son a tab on his birthday may lose its value as the fashion will change...but the day u helped him in making an apple for his assignment will always remain an unforgettable memory
giving your daughter the best cosmetic may lose its importance but ...the day when she wore her new frock and u said " u look so pretty my angel" ...would be the best compliment which she could never forget in her whole life
giving your wife a diamond necklace just for the sake of anniversary may lose its luster...but when u turn her around ,hug her from behind...and whisper those 3 magical words in her ear ...u will find a shine in her eyes...so unfading :)
giving a grand mansion to your parents to live in will be of no use,because... the pool, the chandeliers and other luxuries would not fill the void created by your absence ...
life isn't about earning money ...yes money is something...but it is not everything...
a child may be happy for some time with i-pads,i-phones,tabs etc. but he will miss picking up a square shaped rock ..and pretending to click a pic :)
the innocence bound with those memories will not have a substitute..neither money can nor any other stuff can take its place.
a person having money is not rich....rich is the person who saw his children growing up ...who saw them writing their first letter...who finds his wife as beautiful as she was when they met for the first time...who saw his dad becoming stronger as he reached his 60's and helped him while he{dad} wished to stand ...who saw his mom becoming more beautiful when she said i have grown old ...
and finally when he opens his eyes and sees his loved ones around him ...and closes them when he cherishes the best memories associated with each of them ....
rich he is as he has people who will remember him ..... and shed tears when he dies ... :):):):)
