Busy I was in my own world ,
Writing down prescriptions ,
Adorning the white apron ,
Checking up a tooth’s vitality ,
Filling an exposed cavity .
Morning till evening ,
Occupied in the same work ,
Either diagnosing cases ,
Or turning pages of my book .
Once in our college ,
We were told ,
That a patient’s mouth is our life henceforth .
Putting on my gloves ,
Accompanied with mouth mirror and probe ,
One simple thing ,
I had completely forgot .
Prior to my profession ,
If anything else I had ,
Which gave me peace ,
Which took me to a different land .
Writing had been my weakness ,
Ever since I was a kid ,
But the demanding field of dentistry ,
Had given it an unnoticed slid .
The same story continued ,
For few years on ,
When accidentally with Writer Babu ,
I stumbled upon .
Reviving back my writing skill ,
Pushing aside any annoying shrill ,
I fell in love with the paper and pen ,
Not just scribbling prescriptions ,
But also Poems in a silent lane .
While Penning down my thoughts ,
Expressing unspoken words ,
A sense of gratitude ,
Fills up my heart .
For all my friends out there ,
For having ushered me with ,
Their heavenly love and care .
Every word of appreciation motivates me ,
To further continue the flow of writing .
With respect for all seniors and love for the young ones ,
Let’s rejoice together breaking off old taboo ,
And this one’s…. especially for you ,
My dear Writer Babu :)
