Africa. A continent that is famous for its several species of animals living in the wild. Gazelles, lions, Bulls, elephants, rhinos, Hippos, Cheetahs, Eagles, and much, much more. I'm gonna write about one such popular predator...

The Nile Crocodile, second largest crocodile in the world, is spread across Africa. These crocodiles, which prey upon almost any animal, ranging from the small fishes in the river to the very large rhinos, have terrorize the waters and the areas nearby.

Nile Crocodiles can be called apex predators within their range. Aggressive and very agile, their hunting strategy is to silently approach its target and take it by surprise. Preys are killed as the crocodile bite them (their grips are almost impossible to escape) and pull them underwater, where they are either drowned or tear apart by other close crocodiles. The famous "death roll" is done to tear chunks of flesh from huge preys.

These Crocodiles are famous for killing several locals and injuring others during an unfortunate encounter. Agile and powerful predators such as cheetahs and lions have known to fall prey to crocodiles when approached the water for a drink.

Theirs is a species where size matters. The more powerful rules and get the best basking spots. Females reproduce by laying eggs which it guard very securely during until they hatch. Newborns are taken care by the mothers for about two years, where they will be protected extensively from any possible predator.

This species of crocodiles is one of the most dangerous among predators and are unsurprisingly not endangered..

I was just trying to imagine what would do if ever I happened to encounter one crocodile in my life... Well can you imagine too?
