Only you know
the dark of how many nights
I needed
to break the bars of this cage
with the sky as ceiling,
to see the light the sun hides.

Only you know
how much dark I had needed
to wash my eyes blinded by color;
how much darkness was cast over me
until the remoteness' roots sewed
my halves scattered
in the search of me.

Only you know
the silence of how many nights it took
to be drowned
the misconstrued meanings
of the words imposed on me
as a burdensome legacy.

Only you know
the fear, the doubt and the yearning
that were hanging around me
in their crazy dance...
Only you know me...
And now I know myself, too.
