I have read in media outpourings of a number of retiring/just retired/superannuated government servants, who having attained very senior positions in the governmental hierarchy, adversely criticise government's policies which they advocated and followed when they were serving. This is hypocritical and in bad taste. If the officials could not be what their conscience wanted them to be, when in service, it serves little public purpose to show fangs publicly on leaving the system of which they formed an integral part and from which they derived immense benefits.
