An age has passed, an era gone by,
since I have driven a car.
Sitting confined, on a bed I dined,
With memories that were charred.

My wife and I on a joy ride,
Newly weds we went.
High on happiness and alcohol,
And sexually we were spent.

Father-in-law, very dear to me, had,
gifted us the car.
Of cliff it went, flipped and leapt, thus,
creating a mental scar.
