Somethings just get you, somethings just disturb you so deep down that you cant help but react, somethings just repulse
you so much that you have to break your vow not to add more crap to the internet. So, first of all im sorry that i
am indulging myself in this conversation.

Eminent "coulmnist and novelist" Shobh-"double A" De recently wrote an article in the economic times on the epic sex appeal
of India's newest RBI Governer Mr.Raghuram rajan. I personally have nothing against that, nothing against who feels turned
on by what, be it bankers, actors, politicians , sweepers or janitors. Each to his own. Hell be turned on by mulayam singh
yadav for all i have to care.

What i, as a young indian, care about is mainstream media shifting its attention to issues which are irrelevant. We have
enough things to distract us. We have Delhi/Gurgaon/Mumbai/Calcutta Times for using print media to bombard people with
information porn. Almost every major Indian Daily(this is a very india centric article) printing extra Page 3 supplements
to increase sales. Okay you guys have a business to run, lets not get into that.

What i care about is the OBAMA-isation of indian politics. When Barack Obama got elected as the 44th president of the
United states of America, print columnists of Ms(Mrs??) De's ilk were having orgasms in ink. Indian newspapers were filled
with ravishing articles about his charisma and good looks. Why? What do his looks have to do with his foreign policy? Is
his intention to unleash "pin-point strikes" on the syrian government justified by the no. of "dhak-dhaks" that occur when
he enters or exits a room?

Same was the case when Akhilesh Yadav was elected Chief minister of Uttar Pradesh. He was the messiah. The laptop distributing
young saviour.Dont cry now that IAS Durga Shakti Nagpal was treated with the highest degree of unfairness.

People have very difficult lives. Each one of us has unique problems of his own. Some of us are very good at what we do, some of
us arent. But all human beings try. We try and persevere. We try and survive. We try and find a little happiness. A little
hope.

Whatever is printed/run in the media changes and affects public perception of things , of people. It can give or deny hope.
The media should be very carefull about what they print. Unnecessarily raising people to Demi-God status is not justifiable.
Those in power, those in public view, those who have accomplished enough to be in our morning papers, for all their qualities
are just people. They are from amongst us, and they are just as vulnerable as the rest of us. Like the remainder of humanity
they all have their strengths and their vices. Let them be. Let them not lose their touch with reality and most importantly
donot lead public perception to believe that they are flawless.

The media keeps promising us these saviours. Modern day Jesus Christs who will turn our water into wine. Who will feed the
hungry millions with a few baskets of bread and fish. Who will walk on water and Who will conjure miracles out of nowhere.

The media promises us. And we wait.We have been waiting.

It has been a long time since we have been waiting.

We are tired of having our hearts broken and our dreams crushed.

We should be around 1.27 billion indians in todays date. One man cannot be our saviour. All of us must be united, educated
enlightened and explained to how the system works. All of us . We work together and human history will not have known a civilisation
such as ours.

Most importantly, we should stop waiting for our saviour. No one is coming. No one man will be able to help us all. Each one
of us must learn to fight for his own. To become our own saviour.
