So this was it...

So this was it. That’s how good Lord has decided to make their first meeting. You know, it wasn’t a first meeting really. They were classmates. They had shared so many years of their childhood at school. But to him, it was like nothing. He didn’t remember them much. He had crushes just like any schoolboy. And, yes, she was one of them as well. But, no, those school memories were all faded silver jewellery. They have lost their shine.
So this was it. This is how they were going to talk to each other in person for the first time. Though, it wasn’t their first talk at all. They have been chatting online for a while. And, yeah, they were texting each other as well. Though he knew that she wasn’t that mature to be different from one who was writing to the one she actually is. Yet, he was anxious that what if she is not the one he has always been waiting for. What if, she is not the one he has assumed her to be?
So this was it. This is how they were going to impress each other. Though, they already had a well formed image about each other. Both of them knew they had strong characters. She was a modest, charming, energetic and shy beautiful young girl. And he was well mannered, brilliant, studious, slim and tall family guy.
So this was it. This was going to be the so called first meeting people talk about when they are in love. Though, neither had she wanted to be in a relationship at that moment nor was he sure of any successful relationship. All what they have thought of building was a colourful and harmonious friendship.
So this was it. They were standing alone in a park. It was a little before sunset. Sun was a little bit harsh to look at. She was dressed as a traditional Indian girl in a “salwar-kurta”. He had decided to be just the way he has been these days in college. With long, disturbed hairs, shaved face, and western jeans-shirt dress-up.
So this was it. The boy knew he should take some present to greet her. He knew even though it’s not going to hurt if he doesn’t. But, he was wondering if she would be excited about it. So, he had asked her before the meeting to bring in something for him as well. (Giving something makes you to believe to get something in return.)
So this was it. They were looking at each other into the eyes. He thought of hugging her at first look but being brought up as family guy, it felt like to stand far and make a handshake. She was so happy to meet him that she leaned forth to hug him. But, hesitatingly, they both shook hands.
