Where is this technology taking us to….

This question comes to my mind every now and then. Sometimes it’s for a happy reason for getting my complicated work done in seconds and sometimes vice versa for making my simple work more complicated.
In an era of social sites and nearly everything on-line from a pencil to a passport have u ever felt that we are missing on something? Human touch, connect and feelings is taking a back-seat in this on-line era. In last 3 years my number of friends has increased on Face book, G talk and now on what's app but the numbers of personal calls have decreased disastrously. Till my college days I used to be flooded with calls from friends, family & cousins on my birthday but now its messages on social sites, chats and rest on messages over cell phone.

At least once in a year I surely used to have long conversation with my distant family members, uncle’s, aunt’s, cousin brothers and sisters and of course friends on their birthdays. In that conversation we used to talk a lot ranging from the small school mischief to big dream that we used to see of being either an Ambani or Madhuri Dixit. But now all that has been limited to a social networking wish or message now from both the sides.

Yes we get to know what's happening in each other life now only through such mediums. Even the culture of inviting each other personally for a special occasion of life has also been replaced by an email invite or an event page.

Every coin has two sides .So on one side where these social networks keeps us in touch with each other on the other side they also create an unseen distance between us. In this fast life where our drain out lifestyle leaves us already with very little time and space with our loved ones, those moments of bonding each other over evening tea ,dinner are being missed desperately. It is like modes to communicate are increasing but what to communicate is declining day by day.
