"I knew it, i told you i knew it , i knew it , i knew it", Gwen said and she couldn't have been controlled at that moment. " I told you that guys always have a motive whether you accept it or not, you guys just cannot do anything without having a hidden motive behind it" , she patronised Patrick. They had been discussing about general stuff concerning women and men when Gwen declared that if a man is talking to a woman then there has to be a motive behind it and it is easier for women to comprehend that reason sooner then men think it would take. But Patrick was not ready to go down that easy , after all he was now representing the entire man-world and it was time to go to war.
"But that's absurd , if what you are saying is right then there cannot be any friendship, leave aside friendship, there cannot be any conversation possible between men and women" he argued. "Every woman will shut down any man who talks to her , thinking there has to be a motive he wants to talk to me" he continued. "But , I am not saying that all of those have something bad attached to them and it is only after sometime that we are able to get what might be the actual reason, so you don't have to worry" she smirked. "And honestly tell me how many girls have you talked to , not because you wanted a relationship with them but just for getting acquainted?? , I am sure you cannot give me one example" Gwen was now enjoying it more then anything.
"First , I am not worried that women will stop talking to men because even though you might complain of it as much as you like you just cannot live without it and second , I can give you many examples in which I just wanted to talk to the other person and nothing else" Patrick replied happily. "And why blame us? , is it not that you talk to a guy only when you find him interesting or you want to have some fun and exciting? " he smartly delivered the ball in Gwen's court. "Oh please, don't patronise now, even if we like a guy we wouldn't let him know until very end that we are interested in him , we would put him in doubt now and then , not like your species which cannot control its overwhelming emotions on our minutes hints" Gwen understood it was now or never for women.
"Well in that case we are better then you, we at least don't play and let other person wonder ,'whether that smile was for me or on me' , we try to keep things simple. And for your information , the moment we decide that we will not do anything out of proportion , your species makes a hue n cry that we were just playing around with them and we don't care for anyone's emotions. We do understand certain hints, it's just that we don't want women to think that we do" Patrick remembered the last time he had so much fun in any argument." We might not do everything with a motive but me make our motive to neither do everything without it" he added.
"That's is where you guys fail , you think you understand us but believe me you don't. A girl would never let you see what she thinks, she will never let her face tell you what is going on in her mind. She would want you to comprehend her without her giving away any details. She would want you to read her without making herself a book, she would want you to accept her for what she can be without ever disclosing what she will be. She would want you to listen to her without her speaking and she would want you to see her without making herself visible. And the day a man would do this she would be all his" even Gwen couldn't control the sudden change that has come to her tone.
Believe me , if a man does has a motive which you says he has then he would see what a girl's face is not telling, he would comprehend her without her even knowing that he does, he would read her just like a writer knows each and every word in his book, he would accept her for even what she cannot be then for what she could be, he would listen what the stillness in her voice is saying more then the words in her voice, and he would see her like no one else can and like she herself cannot see her. And believe me he would do it in a way that she can never be of anyone else except him." Patrick had a sense of pleasure about the whole thing now.
"But even then we are better then you and it is certain that you guys have a motive when you talk to us" she knew the argument was over way back. "In no way will I ever accept that injustice on our brotherhood" Patrick smiled. What probably he wanted to say was
" hum hi hum hai to kya hum hai , tum hi tum ho to kya tum ho" !!!
