All characters in this story are fictional. It never happened. Names will pop up now and then without any introduction, you have to live with it.

Kanade called me a week before the "treat" so that I can talk to other people from the 2008 team and before. It had been two years since I left college and we rarely miss out the rare opportunity to dance with friends and teammates( Choreography Dance Competition Team). Dance among dancers is a totally different experience. So I was excited to be on the dance floor again with my junta, its kind of nostalgic. I called up people whom I am still well connected and managed to persuade quite a few from Choreo 2008 team and beyond.

I worked through Saturday night till around 5 am to meet some very ambitious self set deadlines and almost succeeded in achieving them. I was happy for the small achievement but given the fact that I usually sleep at around 12, I was feeling sleep deprived. So it was just one hour of a nap and Sachin Shekhawat(Shekhu) arrived from Jaipur. Apporve Khandelwal(Munnu) was wide wake and Utkarsh Jain( Utki) still 4 hour short of his 10 hour sleep quota.

So the day started with some arm-wrestling between Munnu and Shekhu on our bed and then sleeping Utki versus Shekhu and Munnu. I was still trying to finish up the pending work. Then there was some music and that followed by recall of some dance steps we made some three four years back. Recall transcended into full fledged practice on counts. All sleep gone by now.

We left for IIT which is about five kilometers from my place to have some nostalgic leisure time in our beloved "insti area" and "wind-t", and of course some food and lots of mango shake. Anurag, Yadav joined us soon followed by Adapa and his to-be wife Jyothi. We hanged out at various places in campus and by dusk I was feeling exhausted for the sleepless night and the dance and roaming around on foot in our sprawling campus.

It was Tryst Music Bar and we arrived at around 9. Soon after mingling with the folk Munnu was there at the center of the dance floor showing off some moves and he sparked a chain reaction of dance and in no time the dance floor was overcrowded with dancers. Party went on as we all vibrated in sync with DJ music. In the meanwhile everyone devoured all eatables that kept coming in there were others crowding the bar to get some alcohol and get high. Some of them kept on going higher and higher and forgot to stop where they could handle the fall. While we had some real good time with old friends and our new team, it was already time to leave it was technically half an hour to Monday and I was feeling sleep deprived since ages. Me, Munnu, Utki, Adapa and Jyothi all set to leave.

A bartender brought our attention to some guy who was lying unconscious on the toilet floor. We confirmed that he was one of us. We dragged him to a chair and made his head rest. Then there was our very infamous, Jai Kanade. He was drunk and out too. Me and Manvender handling him now. Time to time he pulled us and whispered some random words in our ears which we had no idea was which language. It must be some super raw indorie dialect, we thought. We ignored what he said and pushed him back to the sofa whenever he wanted to run into the crowd. Later I got to know that Kanade had taken a fight with a bouncer. Yeah, this kid about half the weight of his minimum non-malnutrition weight had an issue with the bouncer. Anyways, we said our good byes and came back to our car, we had to take Kanade to our place. We left for my place while more kids were being knocked out by alcohol.

We decided to drop Kanade to my place first and then drop Adapa to his place as we wanted to avoid bumping into police checkpost with an unconscious drunkard. We reached my place, we called Angad, our flat mate to take Kanade upstairs to our flat which happen to be on the fourth floor in a building which has no lift. Anyway Angad, Munnu and Utki managed to take him up. Munnu and Utki came back and went to drop Adapa. Adapa lives in Hyderabad and had come just for this treat to meet us and maybe to spend some more time with Jyothi. But he did not knew actually how to reach where he was staying, neither did we. So with he help of GPS we reached the landmark which Adapa remembered. Now he could not figure out which lane and which house was he staying as it was around 1 am and streets looked a lot different with shops closed. Anyway after some wandering we had the breakthrough. So it was see you soon Adapa.

In the meanwhile as people saw Kanade's face in our flat in light they realised he need some immediate medical treatment as blood was flowing through his jaw. Later we found out he was running outside the disc and fell down on road. [Lesson: you should never run when you are too drunk to walk]

We were on our way back. In the meanwhile another fachhi of our team was crying, she was drunk too. IIT guards wont allow anyone in that condition to get into campus without informing parents and some DISCO action, so she was taken to our place. Shekhu was in charge of this situation and there was one more guy with them, remember the guy who fell down on toilet floor? They took a cab which took 1000 rupee for a 10 km journey, so basically looted while we were still coming back. And that was kind of justified as it was inevitable for them to wait for us as her cry attracted some policemen to the disc and our party was asked to leave immediately.

When we reached back home it was already 2 am. We saw Kanade's face, the bleeding had stopped but it still looked bad, we discussed a bit whether to take him to hospital or not. Finally we were ready to take him to the AIIMS trauma center. Again we four descended through the dark four floors and put him in my car. There were some people on the road who saw us doing what we were doing. They found it interesting and were talking loudly, "see, they have murdered him and are going to dispose the body". Kanade's was totally unconscious and face covered with blood. And it was actually inviting trouble taking a drunk kid to the trauma center. He looked not more than class 10th kid when unconscious. BTW and FYI, Kanade is 20.

Anyway, we reached the emergency doorway. There were many policemen all around. Only one person could go in. I took him in. I was handed over a form to fill. I thought I can demand immediate treatment but then I realised it was nothing close to emergency when I looked around and saw people almost dying there. I started filling up his form only to realise how less I know Kanade, like his father's name whom he brought disgrace to, age which he deceives in looks, gender which he is an insult to, his permanent address where he doesn't live. Okay, too dramatic.

I called Manvender who was just in time, he had all the information. We exchanged our place, now he was in and I was out with Munnu, Utki, Ekansh and Yogesh. Yes, Yogesh is our friend who visit us time to time and had nothing to do with this situation and he was there for almost no reason, for support.

We waited outside for sometime and then Manvender called. We rushed towards the emergency gate, and found Kanade walking with arms around Manvender. Manvender seemed extremely angry. We were expecting that what needs to be done has been done and we can take him back. We were disappointed to know that Kanade was kicked out of trauma center. Along with Manvender.

So what happened? He was abusing everyone, and their mothers and sisters, at 100 percent power of his vocal chords, poor Manvender disclosed with a sad look on his face. Kanade was tied to the stretcher, hands and legs, but they could not stitch his face when his jaws were busy abusing them. Ya, he got slapped by almost everyone there. He deserved it. Actually he deserved much more than that, we thought.

So they were kicked out and asked to wait till he regains consciousness and sanity. It was too risky to use a needle on a moving jaw when the person holding that needle is constantly being abused. Anyway, we thanked god that Kanade looked more like a rikshaw puller than an IITian and police ignored him except for a few slaps, probably. Had they known that he was from IIT Delhi, it would have been a national headline by the morning.

So we decided to call his hostel friends so that all those interested could pay their tribute to the great Sir Jai Jai Kanade and wait till he come to senses. We left leaving Manvender and Ekansh there.

Coming back we were stopped once by police and for which we thanked god that they did not stop us anytime before that.

Well, non-surprisingly our neighbours complained about last night to our landlord and we had to explain everybody what happened yesterday was not that bad actually and we are infact very decent people with the help of our innocent smiles :) ;) We just did that!! in fiction!!
