Just like another normal day, i was passing through my way to metro station.
Moving with my own rhythm and lost in my own solitude...way down the stairs, i had to notice him.
There was a man sitting on a stone...head down with a cap on his head...having a long white beard...in some dirty clothes whose colours has got changed to almost black with time.
As i was approaching him..something took my attention....a small half cut bottle having coins in it...He was trying his best to jingle the coins in that half cut green bottle...

Yes..He was a beggar !!!

Looking at him, wondering..surprised...without any reason...like many others i crossed him that day. Next i saw few pigeons ...who were picking the piece of bread and grains to feed themselves. Another lovely sight and i moved ahead to my destination
Now it has become my daily routine. i used to observe this beggar daily. Somehow i was curious to see his face ...I felt his silence a mistery...Sometimes he looks like a saint to me...just meditating ...enlightened and immeresed in himself. My curious genre started becoming more excited. Don't know why but i started becoming happy for him ....seeing him gave me pleasure and brought a smile to my face.
This particular day, i started a bit early...As always the same stairs were waiting for me. At the other end of stairs i used to expect my dear beggar friend. But i became sad to see that he was not there that day. I became eager to look for him. I stopped at the last stair...looked around...but could not find him. This made me anxious , a part of me was searching for him.

Sadly i had to move ahead.

I moved few steps ....saw the pigeons but i felt that the pigeons were more busy today. i noticed a man standing there and feeding them with bread, having two half breads in his hands. When i looked at the man, he seemed to be some known person to me. I noticed his beard..his cap...Yes,This is known to me.Today my saint friend was standing and feeding the pigeons. I could see his face today. He was smiling and happy...sharing the joy ...sharing the lessons of life.
I was spellbound..no words in mind...i felt like i was seeing the most joyful moment of my life. A person who has minimum wants to give the maximum.
He is the richest man in this whole universe.
Lost in all these thoughts of mine, i stood there enjoying this moment. The old man noticed me, he looked at me...i looked at him...We noticed each other's presence. He smiled. I smiled back ...we share a smile. Moments later, he was moving to the stairs and i moved towards my daily destination. I was happy to meet the richest man today :)
