There was a time when I did'nt know what HARDSHIPS truly meant;
My only worries in a day were completing my homework and finding friends to play;

There was a time when I did'nt know what FAILURES in life were;
My only dissapointment being not able to fare well in exams;

There was a time when I did'nt know what SUCCESS truly meant;
My only sense of achievement came from making my parents happy;

There was a time when I did'nt know what BETRAYAL truly meant;
My only sense of loss came when I fought with my brother and did not talk for days;

There was a time when I did'nt know what TRUE FRIENDSHIP meant;
My only sense of amity with people was when I shared benches with them;

There was a time when I did'nt know what true HAPPINESS was;
My only sense of contentment came from gazing the stars in the night sky;

Now is the time when having finally grown up;
I do know that life is not as easy and carefree as it used to be back then.
