It so happens,
That my eyes droop.
Tears make them heavy,
And I can't hold.
She is far away,
In a world of her own.
Yet I feel her,
In her absence strong.
I stroke my soul,
Giving it company.
It is lonely though,
For words are cold comfort.
I shudder a bit,
I feel lost still.
I hide in the shadows,
Wearing my armour of hurt.
