Ripples, snow covered ripples
Begins as a flutter
Ceases as a flail
Covered in bristles
Beguiled in a cage

Squeals of a mouse, bound on the floor
The ingenious exotic embrace
Of a callous alien glue
Nothing more binding
Like the Grim Reaper's due

Father says, "No more menace"
Finally over, the mother's bother
Quietly the child watches
So this is the famous hero
Of countless choice curses

Curious eyes drinking
The pale bushy bosom
Capturing tiny fireworks
Pulses of primal fear
Ricocheting restless ribs

Blanched beats beckon
In a tiny furred chest
From a young soul, deep within
An answering seed sprouts
In the mud of the mind

"Hush little heart, sleep"
"Fairies above, will look after you"
A silent prayer; the curtain falls
Signed off in style
With a single white tremor.
