Exactly my point. I feel like writing no more. :(
No one polls on things that are seriously interesting!

Guys, you are worrying too much about the polls ... relax ... I know you guys love writerbabu and you spend so much time writing and reading and taking polls. Its true that you don't get polls on your posts all the time.

It all depends on so many factors, the title, the post image that you upload, the initial text of the post which appear on the recent posts page, length of the posts. The writers need to learn these dynamics to attract readers. This is one harsh truth which the professional authors face in the real world outside writerbabu.

The system was created for the true and free expression and I didn't had this number of poll as my priority. I totally agree its one of the most important thing and I know the system could be more efficient to cope with the large number of posts which compete for reader's attention. And I actually have a plan which I am going to execute soon to cope this demand.

Also one appeal, please share the posts which you like through your facebook or twitter accounts if you want to get more readers. You need to do something to get readers in addition to all other efforts that are being put in. We really need your support.

And write for the joy of writing ... writing is always fun ... expectations sometimes spoils it ... right?

@mallu: you can try that ... :P .. but that's a wrong notion ... i like your writings becoz you write on all topics ...

polling is a major factor, yes, especially when it is the number of polls here that seem to decide whether you wrote good or not.
But that's from a writer's point of view.
From a reader's point of view, for me, why the things have become so.... dull recently is because there doesn't seem to be any real effort being put in the writing. No passionate takes on life like Sneha once wrote or the light hearted almost childish one that Astha is so good at or even the sense of enjoying small things with zeal that Mallu has become known for(and yes I noted that they are all women). Now it just seem like writing for the sake of writing.
For how much teenage flamboyance may seem adorable at times, it soon looses flavour without a dash of maturity.
p.s.- I really really don't want to read the copy-paste posts, the teenage angst posts or the dangerously infective disease called love posts. Please give me something mind-blowing that's 100% original. I beg of you!

i have seen here on writerbabu that ur post has to be short ... people see the length .. if it is big ..they just move on to other posts

WB is new..its small community with less number of readers and writers rite now..its like a family..everyone knows everyone, so you miss others, feel bad when they don't take poll...you treat your readers as friends..before taking poll i knew that it is you..but lets keep this family from splitting...u r the most enthusiastic and i'l miss u badly if u leave..:(

its good that somebody raised this issue, WB needs improvement no doubt, i am sure facebook also has a lot to develop and they have highly trained teams to work on it. but lets appreciate the kind of effort srijan is putting into this website, every thing has ups and downs, its like a wave, with a crust and a trough, WB needs our support more than anything!!!!

P.S : FB v/s WB is not a healthy comparison.

when things get bad, comparison is inevitable...we cant live in lala land forever ignoring real issues, we need to tackle issues head on..

we as writers, wen get some appreciation build expections...and it happens wid everyone of us.
people did appreciate my writings, and maybe call it my greed that i started expecting...sorry for that!
but somewhere down, it demotivates u from within...the lack of communication from ur folks around kills ur enthu...and mallu i totally agree that it saddens u wen u dont see old pals around...like i miss the writings of Ishan, Akanksha Akhouri, Ashish Chauhan (but recently ashish has written stuffs), even Samahir has also slowed down...and seriously i miss Ishan the most!!!
its said that we writers create the world of our own, lets keep its sanctity, eternity and addiction...

Hey guys...I can see all the tension here regarding the hits and likes.. And thanks a lot Sufi for liking my posts.. Sincerely, i too adore all that recognition ;) :P I too want to write. Its just that, my course for film making is coming to an end this april and right now i am really looking for a job in my profession. Thus, i dont really get any time to post something new. And until i dont feel it i dont generally post. You must have noticed that by now that i havent really written large number of posts. Its that feeling that urge that needs to come while writing. I guess its the worry to get a job that has been stopping me to write. I live in mumbai until now i have been surviving on my parents money.. but its high time i found a way out to earn money if i want to pursue my passion. I am really sorry, but i hope you understand the situation i am stuck in right now.. I will write something as soon as i figure out this problem.
