This time the voter turn-out was around 65 percent in my state. One can think this is an achievement as a comparative study does establish it as a figure that is higher than last General Assembly elections.
But what happened to the rest 30 percent of the electorate; not considering the 5 percent who might be challenged -physically, visually, sick or are thus discouraged due to constant neglect of politicians, and the people who might not be well or not in the city. I generally exclude the lazy ones who do not go out to vote, pity! No offense to anyone.

These 30 percent people are, i suppose, immigrants, homeless and general populace whose jobs demand them to be present there and work even on election days.

But incredible as it might seem, why don't people go out and vote is a question left for debate.
What do you think? .. I for one thing considers a failure of both sides; politicians -for not successfully trying to woo the voters by giving them what they really want and people -losing hope in the electoral process altogether.

I've liked the '80s' figure always. It meant you are 'good enough' but not top of the class. So I was happy to get marks in 80s.
I would be happy if the voter turn-out could touch just the 80 percent mark someday. You would like that too. Won't you?
