World should aim at and work towards putting every living human creature on earth out of his/her miseries.

I do so by remaining happy even though I do not feel so :)

Something is always better than nothing . But, one can not achieve what I am indicating by doing charity. Charity is not pure social service. Money or some kind of self-interest is invariably involved. When anyone does even a little with no expectation and every one contributes a little, then this world will be better. The best example of this kind is the small squirrel in Ramayana who used to take dip in water, roll his body over on sand and then sprinkle the sand on the ocean bridge (Setu Bandh) by way of his contribution to a good cause.

Sure, I absolutely agree with you there. I merely used charity as a metaphor for spreading happiness, smiling.
