I hope everyone has learnt something from the previous part.Continuing from where I had left,I will share a few more aspects about writing.Writing has three critical elements-ethos(Credibility,i.e,people should believe what you are saying),pathos(emotional connect) and logos(logic). If your write-up contains these three elements, then you are bound to succeed.
While writing a short story, you may like to take these hints:
1.Think about five things you are afraid of and develop a character who does exactly the opposite in the story.
2.Think about a bad habit that you have and revolve your story around the character wanting to let go off the bad habit and how he ultimately succeeds.
3.Think about your greatest strength and make your character do exactly the opposite thing in the story which you write.
The most important thing about writing is that you should love what you write. If you don't love your own writing then how the hell do you expect others to love it.First of all you have to write with a free mind.Don't worry about grammatical mistakes and related stuff.Once you are done with what is in your mind and have written it down, then you do the editing part. There may be lots of superfluous ideas in your write-up,i.e,you might have repeated the same thing three-four times. You have to remove these things from your write-up.
The last part about my learnings from the workshop will be shared later on.Keep writing:)
